2023 Course of Action Scholarship Program Grant Recipients

TAMPA, FL 27 April 2023– The Course of Action (COA) Foundation 1 501c3 non-profit  organization began its scholarship program in 2014, and began by granting educational  scholarships to outstanding, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the  scholarship is awarded to student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum  potential. 

The foundation is focused in maximizing strong academic foundations through scholarship grants to  students pursuing degrees, academic advancement or vocational enhancement. Course of Action  created a merit-based scholarship for full-time students with preference given to graduates of high  schools located in Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. 

This scholarship is possible due to the financial support provided by Gemini Industries and the  PASCO County Sheriff’s Office. 

It is my pleasure to announce the 2023 Course of Action Foundation scholarship award recipients:  

Jackson Hopkins– Jules F. Sumner High School. He is ranked 2nd in his class as salutatorian with a  7.4 weighted GPA.  

Lauren Tanner– Leto High school. She has a 6.0 GPA and ranks top 3% in her class.  

Eric Gomez– Leto High School. He currently has a 5.5 district GPA and was awarded the AP  scholar award in 2022.  

Jada Alexander– Lennard High School. Currently she has a weighted GPA of 5.2 and ranks 13th in  her senior class of 421 students.  

On 27 April 2023, these worthy grant recipients will be honored at a luncheon hosted by the Course  of Action Foundation at 11:20 a.m. at Casa Santo Stefano restaurant in Ybor City Tampa, Florida. I  simply would like to say congratulations to all grant recipients, their family and parents. We are very  proud of you and we’re lucky to have you as part of our community.
